About Glass Cuttings
At Glass Cuttings we have never forgotten our goal - to produce quality handmade stained glass and hot glass products which we have been making for more than twenty years. Our range of unique glass items is displayed in our shop in the friendly Piggly Wiggly Centre, situated between Lions River and the Dargle in the rolling hills of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, using tried and tested traditional methods.
Glass Cuttings is owned by Gill and Stephen Pryke with workshops in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal. Gill is involved in the making of the full range of our products, including all of the hot glass beads and lampshades. We have also taught members of the local community, Ntombi and Sibusiso, the skills of producing our stained-glass products and they assist in creating our quality craft. Many of our products are totally unique - we like to experiment with new ideas.
A visit to our shop or our website, will clearly reveal our love of birds and animals, both wild and domestic. A wide range of animals are to be found amongst our characters, animal angels and Santa hats. Our stained glass suncatchers include dogs and cats as well as butterflies and a selection of kingfishers.
Customers from many countries have visited us and taken our products back to their homes. These include lampshades to England , electric boxes to Thailand, windows to the USA and a large lampshade to Sardinia.
